Lifeline Ministry

 

The Lifeline Ministry provides services to persons that are recently (or currently) incarcerated and their families by reaching them through love and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This ministry also teaches them how to apply practical truths to their lives and the lives of their families.

Legal Clinic

 

The New Salem Legal Clinic operates in cooperation with the Columbus Legal Aid Society. The legal clinic is a free service for those who meet economic elgibility and citizenship parameters.

Clients have an opportunity to meet privately with a pro bono attorney or be instructed to provide brief short term legal advice.

Community Dinner Team

 

The Community Dinner Team provides a warm "home-cooked" meal to families and neighbors throughout the local community each Wednesday evening. Over 200 people are served at the Community Dinner each week.

The Community Dinner Team serves on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 7:30 pm.

Community Garden Team

 

The Community Garden at the Bread of Life Food Pantry, provides fresh fruits and vegetables to residents in low-income areas.

This team serves during the spring and summer months. Participants must be able to work in the outdoors.

Weekly Food Program Team

 

The New Salem Weekend Food Program provides supplementary meals to children at East Linden Elementary School every weekend during the school year.

The SOS (Salemizing Our Streets) Initiative, is an ongoing Daring Faith outreach program to revitalize our five adopted blocks surrounding New Salem, which we call the "Golden Triangle".

The Anti-Human Trafficking Ministry combats the evils of the modern slave trade through advocacy, evangelism, education, resources, and compassionate outreaches, with the ultimate goal of setting the captives free.

Bread of Life Food Pantry Workers

 

Hunger Doesn't Stop after the Holidays - We NEED Volunteers!

There is a high demand for food in our community and we have a critical need for volunteers to help serve our hungry neighbors. This is especially true for the Bread of Life Food Pantry and the Weekend Food Program.

Campus Ministries

 

New Salem's Campus Ministries provide spirtual and social support to students at local colleges and universities in Central Ohio.

These ministries connect with students on their campus in order to provide spiritual support, fellowship and discipleship while they are in college.
