Pastor Samuel N. Winston, Jr. is the fifth leader in succession of the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, appointed in September 2004 by the then Senior Pastor, his father, S. N. Winston, Sr. He began as an apprentice musician in 1990, and was given the responsibility for the youth choir, which quickly grew to more than 60 young people, who ministered monthly at the church, and traveled across the country sharing God’s love through song. From 1998 to 2004, he maintained the position of Worship Pastor, where he was responsible for overseeing the music, usher, greeter, and audio ministries of the church. He is an example of servant leadership and as pastor, has become a voice to the Church to uphold the standards of holiness.
