Columbus, Ohio – The Royal Oak Initiative Academy (ROI) and St. Stephens Community House will partner on Saturday, April 24th to host the Chess Citizenship Academy Community Open House. This event, which will take place at St. Stephens, 1500 E. 17th Avenue will be held from 11 am – 1 pm.

Working to inspire the next generation of leaders, this initiative will bring together youth from the Linden community, community leaders, and others for an empowering day of encouragement through the vehicle of chess. Mayor Andrew Ginther, Senator Hearcel Craig, and others are scheduled to stop by and engage with these creative minds.

The mission of The Royal Oak Initiative (ROI) is to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders to master their own future of personal and economic success. This program empowers youth to become critical thinkers, strategic problem solvers, proactive planners, and visionaries so they can be the next generation of ‘change agents.’

This event is sponsored by the Community of Caring Development Foundation, The City of Columbus, and St. Stephens Community House.
